July 15 Tax Deadline

July 15th is right around the corner, and we are still in the thick of this COVID-19 pandemic. But if you thought the internal revenue service might extend the tax filing and payment deadline, one more time, think again. Earlier this year, the IRS gave taxpayers a 3-month reprieve, moving the filing and payment deadline from April 15th to July 15th. But despite requests from several organizations to grant an additional extension, the tax agency says “no dice”. Now, those automatic extensions that give you until October 15th to file paperwork, are still available as they are every year, but make no mistake the tax folks expect a check — on time, so don’t delay.
